Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium.
The San Angelo Mustangs got a magnificent effort from pitcher Carlos Rotiz, who kept Brownsville hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Mustangs win at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. Rotiz picked up the win for San Angelo, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 1 hits. He now sports a record of 3-6. Roberto Salinas earned the save for San Angelo, his 6th of the year.
Ernest Fortin contributed to the San Angelo win with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
In postgame remarks, Fortin applauded his team's "business-like approach."
