Hitting a single home run is a tough task. Hitting two in a game is impressive. Hitting three is remarkable. Anything beyond that is borderline unbelievable -- yet that's what Tom Beverly did today in the 13-5 Oconomowoc Five O's victory over the St. Paul Saints.

Beverly went 4-for-5 with 4 home runs and drove in 4 runs in a once-in-a-lifetime feat that the opposing manager later labeled "impossible."

"I don't believe it really happened," Saints manager Daisuke Nishida joked to BNN reporters afterward. "I don't ever enjoy losing a game, but this kid was special today. I have never seen a guy hit 4 in a game before. I didn't enjoy it, but it was special."

Tom Beverly grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ricardo Reyes in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ricardo Reyes in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Robby Rojas in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Zbynek Petruzalek in the 9th.

So far this season, Beverly has put up a .322 batting average with 73 hits, 25 home runs and 58 RBIs.
