The Ottawa Civics got a sterling performance from pitcher Adam McMullin, but the Ocala Knights still prevailed, 3-2. McMullin threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Danny Figueroa, now 4-4, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Jay Ocker earned the save for Ocala, his 1st of the year.

Ocala took a 3-2 lead on Edgar Lugo's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Lugo hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Ottawa pitcher James Towns visibly frustrated.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Lugo said.

The second-place Knights now have a win-loss record of 92-65.
