The Nichols Gnats beat the Hazleton Birdwings, 10-9, at Road Warriors Field. Nichols right fielder Rickey Jansen had the hot bat. He went 3 for 6 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Nichols reliever Dustin Phillips got the win, raising his record to 9-3. Freddy Hernandez was tagged with the loss. The Gnats raised their record to 79-79.

Jansen broke a deadlock in the top of the 13th inning, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, putting Nichols up, 10-9.
