The Niagara Falls Barrels knocked off the Moonbeam Martians, 6-3, in RCL A action at Abbey Stadium. Niagara Falls pitcher and Bayamón, Puerto Rico, native Angelo Rivera had an outstanding performance. The winner was Niagara Falls reliever Jose de Hoyos, now 3-0. The loser was Walt Edwards. Yes, it was a win for Niagara Falls; but their 49-110 record is still nothing to boast about.

Niagara Falls needed the clutch hitting of Al Ceja to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Barrels on top, 5-3. For the game, Ceja had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
