The Cozumel Beaches and starting pitcher Steve Lewis stifled the Tallahassee offense en route to a comfortable 9-2 win at Bar Habor Stadium. In 8.2 innings, Lewis surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. The loss makes Tallahassee 74-67.

The Captains had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Beaches going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old right fielder Ryan Tucker came to the plate. Tucker hit a 2-run home run on a 0-2 slider from Tallahassee hurler Arend Tarnovius. It was Tucker's 9th home run of the year.

"Not one of our better nights," said Tallahassee skipper Luis Sánchez.
