Takeshita goes 4-for-4 in Wind Win
The Waimea Wind downed the Minneapolis Freeze, 8-5, at The Ice Box. The Wind were led by Unpei Takeshita. Takeshita was 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Franco Lano notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now sits at 4-7. Mark Weston earned the save for Waimea, his 22nd of the year.

William Avila came through with a big-time hit for Waimea. The shortstop smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 8-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
