Muskies Get Close Win Over Argonauts, 2-1
|
The Madison Muskies called upon starter Barry Ledgerwood, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Astoria Argonauts, 2-1. The Muskies bumped their record to 74-71 with this win.
Kahsay Daudi was the walk-off hero for Madison. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Muskies designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Every loss stings," said Astoria manager Amin Kinsaka. "This one is no exception."
