Thanks in large part to left fielder Josh Helms, the Pasadena Bumblebees beat the Reno Raiders, 8-5. Helms was 2-3 with a triple, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Roy Weareorwear, who went 7.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 12-7. With the win, Pasadena has a record of 78-69. Reno falls to 61-86.

With Pasadena leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Helms hit a fastball from Mike Fogle for a 2-run triple. It was his 4th triple of the season and put the Bumblebees ahead, 3-0.
