Walnut Creek starter Matt White pitched well against the Seattle Sasquatch at Castlerock Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. Russ Gilleo recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 27 for 30. Walnut Creek has an impressive 78-38 record.
Walnut Creek shortstop Mario Rodriguez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 110th hit of the season and put the Warriors ahead, 3-2.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Rodriguez, "and then get after it again."
