Reno beat Billings at Cobb Field, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to right fielder Fred Sersch. He was 2-2 with a triple, a double, and a walk. Armando Ramos earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 3.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-2. Nick Cockrell closed out the game, earning his 1st save.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Jaden Edwards came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Billings pitcher Alex Mata, he hit a 1-1 changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Reno on top, 6-5.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Edwards, "one at-bat at a time."

The win gives Reno a season record of 84-65.
