Moorthy Excels, But Mounties Falter
Though he had a stellar game, Leil Moorthy could not prevent his team, the Montreal Mounties, from losing, 9-6, to the West Island Jazz. Moorthy hit 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. Ernesto Herrera recorded the save, his 18th. The second-place Jazz hiked their record to 63-54.

Henry Pitcher, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2060 draft, took Montreal hurler Owen Stegemann deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run home run put the Jazz on top, 6-4. In all, Pitcher had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 5.
