The Eagle Rock Ridge Runners overcame a pretty good performance by Dallas center fielder Chris Sawyer, beating the Texans, 4-3, at Ozark Mountain Stadium. Sawyer went 2-3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The 4th-place Ridge Runners improved to 57-60.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Jasper Bisson came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Dallas pitcher Jean-Baptiste Jimenez, he hit a 2-2 curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Eagle Rock on top, 4-3.

"Both teams played hard," said Eagle Rock manager Paco Berroa.
