The Dallas Texans bumped off the El Paso Mavericks, 6-5, at Metroplex Park. Esteban Bermudez hit 2 singles and 1 double. He also had 3 RBI. Reliever Cameron Mutton picked up the win. His record improves to 9-6. Jon Aguilera, who is tied for 10th in the RCL in holds with 6, took the loss. Chris Nugent collected save number 22.

Eric Johnson drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Dallas. The 26-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring walk off Jon Aguilera. It was his 22nd walk of the season.

"We ground out the win," said Bermudez. "That's all that matters."
