Fort Worth starter Mike Leach put a stranglehold on the State College offense. The left-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the Cats to a 6-1 win. The win makes Fort Worth 72-88.

Leach went the distance for Fort Worth, allowing 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 5.
