Frenz Goes Off, But Bumblebees Win
Fairfield first baseman Nick Frenz was sensational. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Pasadena beat the Flash, 12-11. Pasadena reliever Marcos Medrano picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Scott White was saddled with the loss. The 5th-place Flash have lost 5 straight games.

Pasadena used a timely hit from Ron Griffin to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bumblebees ahead, 10-8. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Griffin.
