Sasquatch Nipped by Earthquakes, 5-4

The San Francisco Earthquakes did just enough to sneak past the Seattle Sasquatch, 5-4, at Golden Gate Park. San Francisco pitcher Jerry Fey, in particular, had a standout performance. San Francisco reliever Junior Baxter got the win, raising his record to 5-3. Ethan Jenkins was tagged with the loss. The Earthquakes are now 48-69.
Gil Delk had a big 2-run double for the Earthquakes in the bottom of the sixth inning. With San Francisco leading 2-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from Ethan Jenkins, who is tied for 4th in the TML in complete games with 2, and swatted a double to left. It was his 45th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Earthquakes ahead, 4-1.
"Jerry pitched his heart out," said San Francisco manager Zayar Adelabu.
