Normal beat Victoria at The Nutcracker Suite, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to center fielder Oscar Salvador. He was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Jon Santiago snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Tommy Jonas suffered the loss. Victoria, at 28-39, has lost 6 straight.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Normal trailing 3-1, Salvador jumped on a changeup from 18-year old left-handed pitcher Tommy Jonas and hit a 3-run home run to right. With one swing, the Nutcrackers had a walk-off win.

"We've had a tough go of it," said Victoria manager Senta Nakano. "But we'll snap out of this funk."
