Rocha goes 3-for-5 to Light Pirates Fuse
The Sedona Sabercats and Paradise Island Pirates riveted fans at Predator Park.

Behind a fine performance from Alex Rocha, the Paradise Island Pirates knocked off the Sedona Sabercats, 10-9. Rocha was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for the Pirates. Greg Argila snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Iukekini Makuakane suffered the loss. Allen Justice was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 6 save opportunities.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Pirates grabbed the lead when Rocha hit his 19th home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Iukekini Makuakane made it 10-9, Paradise Island.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Rocha.

With the win, the Pirates have a record of 35-34.
