The Wichita Storm got a superb performance from pitcher Jesus Nerio. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Oconto Falls. The Timbers won the game, 1-0. Nerio threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The winner in relief was Alejandro Munoz. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-2. Jason Rust recorded his 8th save for Oconto Falls.

Oconto Falls used the timely hitting of Orlando Sancen to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Timbers on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Oconto Falls manager Jorge Murillo.

Oconto Falls now sits at 31-39, while Wichita falls to 25-45.
