A 4-RBI performance from Shigeo Iguchi helped the Savannah Peaches beat the Yuma Varmits, 5-1. With the win, the Peaches hiked their record to 44-26.
Iguchi had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-2 fastball from Luis Valdez, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Peaches a 4-1 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Iguchi.
"We did the things it takes to win a ballgame," said Savannah manager David Flecha.
