Marauders Turn Back Earthquakes, 4-3
|
Maple beat San Francisco at Magnificent Marauders Mansion, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to second baseman Travis Arant. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Maple, now 55-64, holds down 5th place in the Thurman Munson League East Division.
Maple catcher Alex Rocha helped the Marauders go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Rocha hit a run-scoring single off San Francisco pitcher Nolan Campbell.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Rocha. "I just want to win ballgames."
