Oconto Falls Upended by Paradise Island, 6-3
|
German Silva, who leads the TR in triples with 5, led Paradise Island to a win over Oconto Falls. The final score was 6-3. The left fielder collected 3 extra-base hits, including 1 triple and 2 doubles. He also delivered 3 RBI. The save went to Willie Garcia, his 3rd this season. At 57-22, the Pirates find themselves in second place in the TML R Fred McGriff Division.
Paradise Island third baseman Ken Currie contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 99th hit of the season and put the Pirates ahead, 4-1.
