Singel Rips 2 Homers in 9-5 Win
The umbrellas came out during the Victoria-The Stinging contest at Royal Athletic Park.

Kevin Singel had an impact in the 9-5 Victoria win over The Stinging. The 20-year old left fielder went 3-4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Jorge Alegria, the winner, improved to 4-2. He held the Larvae to 3 runs on 4 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 3. Earning the save was Armando Gimenez. He's now cashed in 15 of 16 save opportunities.

Tony Burciaga chipped in a 2-run home run for Victoria in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the catcher had 3 hits in 3 at-bats with 2 home runs, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Singel. "You've got to get results."

The win boosted Victoria to 45-37.
