Honu Score 3-2 Win Over Pennsylvania
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Hawaii Honu and the Pennsylvania Butterflies, Bobby Gilmore, who is tied for 7th in the TML in complete games with 2, was the difference-maker. The Hawaii right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Karl Molnar earned the save for Hawaii, his 25th of the year. The Honu are now 56-63, while the Butterflies fall to 57-63.
Carlos Nieto had a direct impact on the outcome. Nieto contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Hawaii up, 3-0.
"Every loss stings," said Pennsylvania manager Aaron Barnes. "This one is no exception."
