The Kansas City Tornadoes picked up a win at Lucky 7 Ballpark, downing the Quebec Armada, 7-2. On the mound for Kansas City was right-hander John Nauss, who played a pivotal role in the win. Nauss, the winner, moves to 10-11. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 11 and giving up 1 walk. Picking up the save was 25-year old left-handed pitcher J.P. Larson.

With two out in the top of the fourth, Mike Hernandez put Kansas City in front, 3-2, with a run-scoring single. The Tornadoes went on to win the ballgame.

"John had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Kansas City manager Lewis Cannon.

Kansas City, now 55-66, holds down 5th place in the Roberto Clemente League Central Division.
