The Vancouver Pioneers defeated the Buffalo Bison, 6-4, at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Luis Gallardo, who led the TML in runs with 133 in 2062, was a standout performer for Vancouver. His 2 hits included 1 single and 1 double -- this in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 2 he knocked in. The Pioneers now have a record of 65-56.
Gallardo contributed in the top of the second. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Vancouver get the win.
"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Jon Green told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
