Blazers Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Bloomington beat Maple at Magnificent Marauders Mansion, escaping with a 4-3 win in 10 innings. The win in large part was due to second baseman Micah Bell. He went 1 for 1 with a home run. Bloomington, at 73-50, is 4 games up in the Thurman Munson League East Division.
Bell had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch curveball from Paul Blevins, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Blazers a 4-3 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Bell.
In postgame comments, Bell said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
