Marauders Raise Rally Flag, Beat San Francisco, 8-6
|
Mike Flemming, who leads the TML with a 1.474 OPS, led Maple to a win over San Francisco. The final score was 8-6. Flemming scored 2 times, while going 4 for 5. The first baseman also was credited with 1 RBI. With the loss, San Francisco drops to 5-8.
Maple needed the clutch hitting of Ruben Campos to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Marauders on top, 8-6. For the game, Campos had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Campos told the Maple Gazette. "But we take nothing for granted."
