Jacksonville third baseman John Popper contributed significantly to his team's 9-5 win over the Seattle Sasquatch. Popper, who finished 2nd in the TML in stolen bases with 79 in 2055, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Pilots. Tyler Martin recorded the save, his 4th. The loss drops Seattle to 7-6.

With Jacksonville leading 3-1 in the top of the second, Popper hit a fastball from Sam Godfrey for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Pilots ahead, 6-1.

"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Popper told the Jacksonville Herald.
