Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Chicago Eclipse and Eureka Hornets.

A 3-RBI performance from Jalen Nelloms helped the Chicago Eclipse beat the Eureka Hornets, 8-5. The winner was Brendan Tucker, who threw 126 pitches over 8.1 innings. The left-hander was charged with 5 runs on 7 hits.

In the top of the sixth, the Eclipse grabbed the lead when Nelloms hit his 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Dave Murphy made it 6-3, Chicago.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Nelloms told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."

The first-place Hornets now sit at 66-56.
