West Island Beats Havana in 10-Inning Thriller
|
Stade Claude Raymond was rocking after an exciting Jazz win.
The West Island Jazz beat the Havana Stogies, 5-3, in 10 innings at Stade Claude Raymond. West Island left fielder Henry Pitcher had an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The second-place Jazz now have a win-loss record of 68-56.
West Island got a clutch hit from Randy Daly. The right fielder launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Pitcher.
