The Montreal Mounties knocked off the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners, 5-4, in Roberto Clemente League action at Ozark Mountain Stadium. Montreal pitcher and Ashburn, Virginia, native Josh Caldwell had an outstanding performance. Eric Wilkinson, credited with the win in relief, is now 5-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. Picking up his 27th save was former first round draft pick Bill Wolfe.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Michael Morley came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Eagle Rock pitcher Jack Anthony, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Montreal on top, 5-4.

"We're just feeding off each other right now," said Morley.

Montreal has now won 8 straight.
