Zitouna Hits Two Dingers, Blazers Win, 6-0
|
The Bloomington Blazers handed the Hawaii Honu a 6-0 defeat at Aloha Stadium. Right Fielder Lateef Zitouna starred for Bloomington. He slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Bloomington pitcher John Peters got the win. He's now 13-2. Kirk Hojnacki was tagged with the loss. At 76-49, the Blazers find themselves in first place in the Thurman Munson League East Division.
Bloomington took a 5-0 lead on Zitouna's 20th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Jacob Spitler in the top of the sixth, propelled Bloomington to the win.
