Mounties Triumphant, 5-2, at Ozark Mountain Stadium

The Montreal Mounties topped the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners, 5-2, in Roberto Clemente League action at Ozark Mountain Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Montreal pitcher Greg Spivey. Getting the save was Bill Wolfe, his 28th. The Mounties lead the Roberto Clemente League International Division by 3½ games.
Montreal used the timely hitting of Jared Jones to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mounties on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Everybody is chipping in right now," said Jones. "That's what makes it so much fun."
