Tornadoes Need Extra Innings to Top Ridge Runners, 9-3
The Kansas City Tornadoes picked up a win at Ozark Mountain Stadium, knocking off the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners, 9-3, in 10 innings. Starting pitcher John Nauss played a key role in the triumph. The win makes Kansas City 52-80.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Andy Chambers came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Eagle Rock pitcher Bryan Young, he hit a first pitch cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Kansas City on top, 4-3.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Nauss.
