The Montreal Mounties thumped the Kansas City Tornadoes, 8-2, at Mount Royal Grounds. Chris Elliott was a big reason his team got the win. Elliott belted 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Owen Stegemann picked up the win, lifting his record to 15-7 on the season. He struck out 5 and walked 2 in 6.1 innings, while yielding 2 runs. Randy Mowers picked up the save for Montreal, his 3rd of the year.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Elliott hit a 3-run home run off Paul Alexander. It propelled the Mounties into the lead, 3-0.
