Eclipse Post 9-7 Win Over Eureka
The Chicago Eclipse had to overcome a big game from Eureka first baseman Robby Helt to leave The Nest with a victory. And they did, winning, 9-7. Helt went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Joe Umlah was credited with the save for Chicago, his 4th of the season. The loss drops Eureka to 9-5.

Chicago used the timely hitting of Larry Gilliland to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Eclipse on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I'm just out there trying to have as much fun as I can while I'm playing," Gilliland told the Chicago Herald.
