Mavericks Use Late Rally to Win 6th Straight
The Corral was host to some intense drama.

The El Paso Mavericks downed the Chicago Eclipse, 4-1, at The Corral. Stellar pitching by Rick Booth had a lot to do with it. The left-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. With their winning streak at 6, the Mavericks have raced to a strong start this season.

El Paso got a knockout punch from Steve Montgomery. The pinch hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Right now, things are falling our way," said El Paso manager Lorenzo Castillo.
