Toreros Win Pitchers' Duel, 2-1, Versus Tornadoes
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros earned a close win over the Kansas City Tornadoes, thanks in part to Jose Ayala. The Cabo San Lucas left-hander, who is tied for 9th in the RCL in complete games with 2, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. Ricky Pimentel was called on to finish, recording his 10th save. The last-place Tornadoes now sit at 59-74.

Cabo San Lucas catcher Bruno Chauveau contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a knuckleball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 22nd hit of the season and put the Toreros ahead, 2-0.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Lewis Cannon.
