Though he had a great game, Jimmy Eastes could not single-handedly produce a win for Dallas. West Island won the game, 3-2. Eastes was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. West Island reliever Brian Sorensen picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Jim Miller was saddled with the loss. The Jazz now own a record of 74-60.

William Stall hit a solo home run off Jim Miller in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Jazz ahead, 3-2. In addition to the homer, Stall had 2 doubles, while going 3 for 4.

"It was just a matter of executing," said West Island manager Pedro Gonzáles.
