Close Win Moves Earthquakes to 59-76
San Francisco beat Bloomington on the strength of starting pitcher Greg Hobson's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Jeff Agin was the winner in relief. His record is now 11-10. The losing pitcher was Mike Dooley. Dakson Rocket closed the game out for San Francisco, earning his 31st save.

San Francisco took a 4-3 lead on Gil Delk's 19th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Delk hit in the top of the seventh, left Bloomington pitcher Mike Dooley visibly frustrated.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Bloomington skipper Scott Andrews, "and it cost us."

The Earthquakes improved their record to 59-76 with the win over Bloomington.
