The Kansas City Tornadoes topped the El Paso Mavericks, 4-3, in Roberto Clemente League action at Debris Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kansas City pitcher John Nauss. Bobby Milleville closed it out for Kansas City, earning his 26th save. The last-place Tornadoes are 54-83.

Roberto Navarro had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Tornadoes. Coming up with the bases loaded and Kansas City trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Kansas City manager Lewis Cannon. "It's usually not just one thing."
