Havana Stogies starter Fabien Nuvolari hurled his team past the Mexico City Luchadores, 3-2. The 5th-place Luchadores have lost 7 consecutive games.

Havana got a knockout punch from Danny Pellot. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Mexico City skipper Tewolde Ojo.
