The Eureka Hornets picked up a win at Ozark Mountain Stadium, knocking off the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners, 5-4. Starting pitcher Justin Soule was a big reason why. Soule got the win, improving to 14-6. He gave up 9 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The second-place Hornets now sit at 74-61.

Eureka took a 4-3 lead on Robby Helt's 28th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Helt hit in the top of the eighth, left Eagle Rock pitcher Khalil Haywood visibly frustrated.

"I'm proud to wear a Eureka jersey," Helt told the Eureka News. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
