Ridge Runners Hand Mexico City 4-1 Loss
The Mexico City Luchadores were defeated, 4-1, by the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners at Ozark Mountain Stadium, even though Duane Alcock pitched well for Mexico City. Eagle Rock reliever Jesse Hemmelgarn was the winner. His record is now 4-5. Duane Alcock took the loss. Jack Anthony collected his 14th save.

Antonio Paiz had a big 2-run double for the Ridge Runners in the bottom of the second inning. With Eagle Rock leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from Duane Alcock, who is tied for 2nd in the RCL in complete games with 5, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 22nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ridge Runners ahead, 4-1.

"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Paiz.

By defeating Mexico City, the 4th-place Ridge Runners improved to 63-74.
