|
The Maple Marauders cut down the Bloomington Blazers by the score of 5-3, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder John Conner. Conner was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Marauders. Reliever Paul Blevins picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. John Peters took the loss. With the loss, Bloomington drops to 6-8.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Conner hit a sinker from Sergio Apodaca for a 2-run home run. The Marauders, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
