Soggy conditions did not keep Maple and Seattle from playing their scheduled game.

The Maple Marauders clobbered the Seattle Sasquatch, 21-1, at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium. Maple catcher Alex Rocha led the onslaught. He went 3 for 6 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 and driving in 7. At 71-70, the Marauders are currently third in the Thurman Munson League East Division.

Maple used the hitting of Earl Bitner to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Marauders on top, 2-0. For the game, Bitner had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Rocha after the game.
