Gross goes 4-for-4, Leads Honu to Win
The Hawaii Honu defeated the Buffalo Bison, 9-1. Doing his part was right fielder Aaron Gross, who was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs. Bobby Gilmore, the winner, improved to 10-12. He held Buffalo to no runs on 2 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. Kirk Hojnacki earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.

With Hawaii leading 6-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Gross came up to bat against Buffalo pitcher Carlos Acevez. Gross hit a fastball to left-center for a bases-clearing double. His 30th double of the season put the Honu on top, 9-0.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Gross told the Hawaii Today.

With the win, Hawaii has a record of 70-69. Buffalo falls to 68-70.
