Kansas City Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Kansas City Tornadoes finished off the Dallas Texans, 8-4. Much of the credit belonged to first baseman Emeril Ferrario. Ferrario was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once for the Tornadoes. The winner was Fred Poole in relief. His record improves to 4-4. Chris Nugent took the loss. The Tornadoes go to 59-61, putting them 4th in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Ferrario hit a cutter from Chris Nugent for a grand slam home run. The Tornadoes, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Ferrario said.
