Chicago Wins, Benavides goes 3-for-4
The home crowd had a good time watching the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners and Chicago Eclipse get after it.

Chicago left fielder Miguel Benavides was instrumental in helping the Eclipse triumph, 6-1, over the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners. Benavides went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Chicago pitcher Dan Lenart got the win, upping his record to 9-9. Tony Leija got the loss.

The Eclipse got a big at-bat from center fielder Jalen Nelloms. For the game, Nelloms was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 12th double of the season gave Chicago a 2-1 lead.

"I thought we played a nice game," Benavides told the Chicago Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

Chicago goes to 82-59, Eagle Rock to 70-70.
